The New Collaboration from Reebok and Rothco
(BOSTON) AUGUST 16, 2021 – Today Reebok announces a collaboration with tactical and outdoor clothing brand, Rothco. This limited collection reimagines one of Reebok’s most iconic fitness silhouettes, the Nano X1, and one of the brand’s newest lifestyle silhouettes, the Club C Cleated, through Rothco’s ultra-functional, military lens.
Similarly to Reebok, Rothco’s roots are in creating functional gear, having been an icon in the military gear space for over half a century, but over the years the company has made its mark in the fashion and lifestyle space. Rothco’s instantly recognizable camo designs have become a cult favorite and garnered a range of notable celebrity fans.
The first installation in the collection will feature a reimagined version of Reebok’s official shoe of everything, the Nano X1 ($150). The beloved training shoe gets Rothco’s signature camo treatment in three distinct colorways: Ultra Violet Camo, Red, White and Blue Camo and City Camo. The unisex silhouette also features several slight modifications inspired by Rothco’s military and outdoor heritage including thicker laces to mimic paracord and a pull tab on the heel. The webbing used here is also what is used on Rothco’s tactical bags.
Next Reebok and Rothco will drop the Club C Cleated ($110) – the first collaboration on this new lifestyle model – in two colorways: Olive Drab and Desert Tan. This women’s-only shoe takes inspiration from Rothco’s trademark cargo pants as well as a range of military accessories. Reebok x Rothco’s Club Cleated features a twill upper and a logo patch which can be detached and swapped out for a patch of the wearer’s own liking. Each pair of shoes also comes with a separate lace and detachable pouch, which can hold small items, making it the perfect companion for parties or festivals.
The Reebok x Rothco Nano X1 will be available on Reebok.com starting August 18 and the Reebok x Rothco Club C Cleated will be available on Reebok.com starting September 1.
